Six Rocket Pressure Vessels Wash Ashore in Queensland; Recovery Underway

Six titanium pressure vessels, roughly basketball-sized, washed ashore at Forrest Beach, Queensland, in early July. The Australian Space Agency identified them as debris from a recently re-entered foreign rocket body. Hazmat crews established a 50-meter exclusion zone and secured five spheres into drums; the sixth was rendered safe on-site. Authorities ruled out immediate hazard but warned residents not to handle additional debris. The agency is working with international partners to identify the launch vehicle and country of origin.
