UK Blocks Full Ecosystem Security Report From Parliament

The UK government is withholding a classified Joint Intelligence Committee assessment on ecosystem collapse and national security from elected scrutiny. The Cabinet Office released a redacted 14-page version in January 2026, but the full report—warning of food shortages, migration, destabilization, and war risks—has circulated among defence officials for over a year. At a 8 July 2026 Environmental Audit Committee hearing, the Cabinet Office refused to send an official to defend the decision, leaving MPs legislating around an intelligence black box.
