Samsung's Z Fold Gets an Ultra Tier and Form-Factor Consolidation

Samsung's July 22 Unpacked event will introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, marking the Fold line's first tiered architecture in generations. The standard Fold 8 consolidates what earlier leaks called the "Wide" variant—a short-and-wide foldable with 5.5-inch external and 7.6-inch internal displays. The Ultra tier sits above it, available in four colors including a Samsung.com-exclusive green. Battery capacity also increases to 5,000mAh, the first bump since Z Fold 4.
