Hospitals Begin Automatic Enrollment of Newborns in Trump Accounts This Week

The Social Security Administration begins updating hospital enrollment forms this week to automatically open Trump Accounts for newborns alongside Social Security applications. Six million children are already enrolled. The government will deposit $1,000 into each eligible account for children born between January 2025 and December 2028, with distributions beginning July 4, 2026. By embedding enrollment in existing hospital workflows rather than requiring parental opt-in, participation rates should climb sharply.
