Farage Suspension Could Trigger Clacton By-Election

Parliamentary Standards Commissioner Daniel Greenberg is investigating whether Nigel Farage breached the MPs' code by failing to declare a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne before the July 2024 election. If found in breach, a suspension exceeding 10 sitting days would trigger the Recall of MPs Act 2015, allowing Clacton constituents to petition for a by-election.
