Apate.ai, the Australian startup founded in 2024 from Macquarie University research, deploys thousands of AI agents that pose as scam victims. The agents answer calls, reply to messages, follow phishing links and extract bank accounts, crypto wallets and infrastructure for banks, carriers and agencies. Apate reports 2.5 million conversations.
