Six Unidentified Metal Spheres Wash Ashore in Australia, Triggering Hazmat Response
Six large silver spheres arrived at Forrest Beach, north of Townsville, over the weekend of July 4–5. Queensland authorities established a 50-meter exclusion zone and secured the objects in hazmat barrels under police guard. The Australian Space Agency is investigating their origin. Specialists suspect they are spacecraft propellant tanks—engineered to survive re-entry but potentially containing toxic rocket fuel like hydrazine that poses acute health hazards. Attribution may take weeks even with cooperative operators' data.
