Healey reportedly to make Amazon, eBay, Temu liable for sellers' VAT
Chancellor John Healey is reportedly planning to make Amazon, eBay and Temu liable for VAT owed by third-party sellers in his 28 October budget. Platforms would collect VAT at source from retailers with turnover above £90,000, a measure reported to raise up to £1bn by targeting foreign sellers alleged to have avoided VAT. Treasury declined to comment.
