Farage accused of hiding benefits from convicted wire fraudster

The Sunday Times alleges Nigel Farage failed to declare security and social media staff provided by George Cottrell during the twelve months before Farage's July 2024 election. Cottrell, 32, admitted wire fraud in the US in 2017. Under Commons rules, newly elected MPs must register registrable benefits from that period. Farage's spokesman denied the allegations, saying no rules were broken. Farage has separately registered other Cottrell donations of £9,253 and £15,276.
