HomePod mini 2's S10 enables Siri AI, delayed past launch

Apple has unveiled the HomePod mini 2 with an S10 chip replacing the 2019-era S5, enabling Siri AI on a HomePod for the first time. The capability will not be available at launch. Personalized responses will further require pairing with an iPhone or iPad running Apple Intelligence, drawing on emails, messages and calendar.
