Cyber-attack defrosted refrigerators in hundreds of French supermarkets

Intermarché and Cooperative U disclosed Oct. 12 that hackers remotely forced defrost cycles across an estimated 150-200 Intermarché shops and almost 100 Cooperative U outlets in France since Sunday night. Both called it unprecedented. BFM TV reported E. Leclerc was also hit, which Leclerc has not confirmed.
