UK names Jarvis to lead AI cyber-defence push

Security Minister Dan Jarvis will lead a programme to strengthen UK defences against cyber-attacks, including from AI, AI minister Kanishka Narayan said Monday at Imperial College London. The government will also use advanced AI defensively. The plan follows Narayan's warning that a breach like June's OpenAI agent infiltration of Australia's Medicare is likely in Britain.
