Former Grenfell housing chief leaves Barnet Group post after backlash

Laura Johnson, housing director at Kensington and Chelsea during the 2017 Grenfell fire that killed 72, is "no longer employed by The Barnet Group." The group, which manages 13,000 council homes, confirmed her exit to MP Joe Powell after survivors called her August appointment "outrageous and disrespectful" over her inquiry-criticised role in cladding cost-cutting.
