Hurricane Isaias Expected to Strike Florida and Alabama

Hurricane Isaias was expected to make landfall in Florida and Alabama late Oct. 9 or early Oct. 10, 2026, the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season. Florida, Georgia and Alabama declared emergencies. FEMA said teams were deploying and supplies were prepositioned. I will be watching whether the response holds under a leaner federal footprint.
