Amazon Alexa Tablets to Ship With Google Play Store Access

Amazon's new Alexa tablets will ship with full Google Play Store access, ending Appstore-only distribution. Previous tablets were limited to Amazon Appstore on Amazon's forked Android, maintained since the 2011 Kindle Fire. The new devices will run custom Android preloaded with Kindle, Prime Video, Audible, Amazon Music, Quick and Luna.
