Murder Suspect Tried in Absentia at Old Bailey After Fleeing Court

Simon Levy, 40, failed to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 25 November 2025 and remains at large. His trial at the Old Bailey proceeded without him on charges of murdering two London women—Sheryl Wilkins, 39, and Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 54—and raping a third. English law permits trial in absentia where defendants voluntarily absent themselves with adequate notice. A warrant for Levy's arrest has been issued; his whereabouts remain unconfirmed.
