House Passes First Enacted Item From Bipartisan Affordability Agenda

The House passed bipartisan legislation to accelerate affordable housing construction, the first enacted piece of the Problem Solvers Caucus's Affordability Agenda released in February 2026. The evenly divided group of Democrats and Republicans also backs permitting reform, immigration fixes, and action on energy, health care, child care, and food costs. The housing bill now heads to the Senate, where bipartisan bills historically struggle.
