Retroid Pocket Nova Deploys 4:3 OLED to Match Retro Hardware Natively
Retroid's Pocket Nova handheld uses a 4:3 OLED display engineered to output the native aspect ratio of NES, SNES, Game Boy, and PS1 systems without stretching or cropping. Most retro-focused Android handhelds ship with 16:9 screens, forcing tradeoffs: geometric distortion when stretched, or wasted pixels when letterboxed. The 4:3 panel eliminates both. OLED per-pixel illumination renders true blacks on borders and fast pixel response preserves motion fidelity in fast-scrolling titles originally designed for CRTs.
