Australian War Memorial Misses Anzac Hall Deadline

The Australian War Memorial's Anzac Hall failed to open by Anzac Day 2026, its symbolic target date, and the institution has not released updated completion guidance. The hall is part of the Memorial's largest-ever capital works project, originally intended to close the curatorial gap left by the building's inability to accommodate Australian Defence Force deployments since the 1990s. Completion now extends toward the 2028 project deadline.
