Rotherham Survivor Alleges Sexual Abuse by On-Duty Police Officer
A survivor of Rotherham's child grooming gangs scandal reported being raped from age 12 by a South Yorkshire Police officer in a marked police car. The July 2025 account shifts the institutional inquiry from failures of oversight to direct criminal conduct. Simultaneously, the National Crime Agency is investigating allegations that multiple officers sexually abused children. An MP claimed in February 2026 that at least one alleged abuser remains on active duty.
