Albanese names ex-News Corp executive consul-general in New York

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has named former News Corp executive Siobhan McKenna as Australia's next consul-general in New York, due to start early in 2027. She will replace Heather Ridout. I've seen enough plumb postings to know this one will get a good going-over on both merit and optics.
