Trump Expected to Ask Xi to Broker Kim Meeting at Sept. 24 Washington Talks

President Trump is expected to ask Chinese leader Xi Jinping to help arrange a meeting with North Korea's Kim Jong-un when Xi visits Washington on Sept. 24, The New York Times reported Sept. 18. Trump has repeatedly sought renewed talks; Pyongyang gave a cooler response in August. Whether Beijing will act as broker remains unclear.
