Spanish police use batons, rubber bullets to clear Ceuta beach camp

Spanish riot police cleared hundreds of migrants from Benitez Beach in Ceuta shortly before 7 a.m. local time on September 18, 2026, firing rubber bullets into the air and striking people with batons. Officers escorted them to a new tented camp in the port. About 10,000 remain in the enclave after July arrivals.
