
Rival U.S. Bids Seek Sherritt's Cuba Nickel Stake After Canadian Exit
Two U.S. bids for Canada's Sherritt International's nickel-and-cobalt stake in Cuba are before U.S. authorities after Sherritt exited its joint venture with the Cuban state following Trump's 1 May sanctions order. One bid is linked to Ray Washburne, the other to Texas oilman Albert Huddleston. Citigroup and Office Depot's nine-figure claims cloud any deal.
