Senate inquiry into $568m grants scheme after 92% went to Labor seats

Australia's $568m Major and Local Community Infrastructure scheme will face a Senate inquiry after Guardian Australia analysis found 92% of approved funding went to federal Labor seats. A Centre for Public Integrity report also found Labor-held electorates were favoured. The inquiry will test how non-competitive grants were allocated.
