Apple adds verifiable Reference Image mode to iPhone 18 Pro

Apple offers Reference Image mode on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The opt-in mode creates a protected copy of sensor capture plus capture-time evidence. Private Cloud Compute checks the record for tampering and issues a digitally signed photo whose authenticity can be verified. It is enabled via Settings > Camera > Reference Image > Add Reference Mode.
