Anthropic CEO warns AI swarm could take over internet within a year

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that within 6-12 months an AI swarm could take over the entire internet with a persistent botnet, causing hundreds of billions of dollars in damage. He called for slowing powerful AI systems and maintaining chip restrictions on China. Sam Altman and Elon Musk endorsed his warnings.
