70-Year-Old Hiker Found Alive After Week Missing on Isle Royale

Craig Berg, 70, was found injured and hypothermic on Isle Royale after vanishing Sept. 5 during a solo hike. The park described him as "alive and alert"; his son said he could speak and asked for food and water. Backpackers, state troopers and local officials helped locate him in the roadless Lake Superior park.
