Fed set for Sept. 16 rate decision under Warsh as Trump demands lowest rate despite 3.4% inflation
The Federal Reserve is scheduled to decide on interest rates Sept. 16 under new chair Kevin Warsh, handpicked by Donald Trump. Trump posted the U.S. should have the "LOWEST RATE of any country in the World". U.S. inflation was 3.4% Sept. 11, above the 2% target for over five years, as oil topped $100 with Hormuz all but closed.
