UK to rewrite student loan guidance after mis-selling finding

The UK government will redesign guidance for new students to state clearly that loan terms can be amended by future governments. The pledge follows a July Treasury Committee report that said slideshows comparing repayments to a mobile phone contract amounted to mis-selling. Ministers rejected making loans contractual, retaining the ability to change terms later.
