Snap Ships Fully Standalone AR Glasses With 51° Field of View
Snap announced SPECS, augmented reality glasses that require no tethered compute puck or external processor. The 51° field of view approximates a 115-inch screen from ten feet away—significantly wider than earlier waveguide glasses but narrower than passthrough headsets like Vision Pro. SPECS run Snap OS on see-through lenses. The company expects general availability in 2026 but has not yet disclosed frame rate, latency, battery life, weight, or price.
