The Banned Book Library project embeds full texts into ESP32-C3 microcontroller-based smart bulbs, which broadcast content over Wi-Fi to nearby devices. A single bulb's 4 MB flash storage holds several novels uncompressed. No app required—users connect via browser. The design enables individuals to carry restricted texts across jurisdictions as portable personal infrastructure, with all technical control remaining with the user.
