
End of Life Bill Backers Face Changed Text on Return to Commons
The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill has been substantially amended in committee since November 2024, when 330 MPs including Lauren Edwards voted for second reading. The Commons resumes scrutiny in June 2026. Whether second-reading supporters will maintain their positions given the material changes — including amendments from Baroness Grey-Thompson strengthening safeguards — remains uncertain.
