Molly Russell's father accuses Starmer of rushing social media rules for political gain

Ian Russell, whose daughter Molly died after viewing harmful online content in 2017, said Prime Minister Keir Starmer is advancing social media restrictions at a "deplorable" pace for "political reasons." The Molly Rose Foundation separately warned that Meta's content moderation changes risk recreating conditions that preceded Molly's death. The estrangement between the Government and advocates instrumental to the Online Safety Act poses a political problem for Downing Street.
