Google Adds Admin Controls to Gemini in Chrome for Enterprise

Google is rolling out Gemini in Chrome to all Google Workspace users, paired with Admin Console controls that let IT teams set governance policies before the feature reaches end users. The September 2025 update allows organizations to manage and restrict AI-assisted browsing at the organization, group, or user level—critical for enterprise deployments where the model's access to page content, including internal applications and authenticated data portals, requires audit trails and compliance safeguards.
