Boeing Sells Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid to Archer for Near 20% Stake

On August 10, 2026, Boeing agreed to sell Wisk Aero, Insitu, and SkyGrid to Archer Aviation for a near 20% Archer equity stake. The deal transfers autonomous eVTOL aircraft (1,700+ test flights), Navy drones generating over $200 million annually across 35 countries, and urban air traffic management software. Boeing retains access to Wisk's autonomous flight systems and will collaborate with Archer. Archer's stock surged 20%. Archer has not yet launched commercial air taxi services.
