
Iran Links Strait of Hormuz Reopening to Rollback of US-Israeli Military Measures
Iran confirmed August 10 that talks with Oman on a safe shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz are ongoing, but Foreign Ministry Spokesman Baghaei said reopening the waterway depends on "the removal of conditions imposed on Iran and the region as a result of US-Israeli military action." The conditions fall outside Oman's capacity to deliver, placing the strait's fate with Washington and Tel Aviv.
